Everest Base Camp Trek is a well-known classic trek in Khumbu Region which is legendary for its stunning mountain peaks and the allegiance and sociability of its residents the Sherpas; the Everest region (Khumbu) is one of the most popular targets for tourists in Nepal. As many of the routes through the mountains are strenuous, there are sufficient places to rest and enjoy a meal beside the route. While trekking is probable in Everest Region the whole year round, the best times to visit are from the beginning of March to mid May and from the beginning of September to end of November; even though trekkers can do this trekking in every month of the year.
Everest Base Camp trek starts from Lukla following the Dudh Koshi River and climb up to Namche Bazar. A day relaxes at Namche bazaar is advisable for acclimatization and a golden opportunity to get in touch with the delightful legendary Sherpas livelihood, culture and tradition as a whole. The trial ascends with the first welcomed view of Mt. Everest to Tangboche monastery along a high pass through. Everest landscape plus the calming environment in the morning enthuses the trial. The trail descends crossing the Imja River and the Khumbu Glacier introducing Lobuche, fine view of Ama Dablam, a pious mountain is the most stunning mountain to most of the trekkers. The trail again ascends to Gorakh shep, the base point to the Promised Land Everest Base Camp or Kalapathar, close up view of Mt. Everest is seen from here. Climbing Gokyo Ri is another focused in this trek.
