Security Manager We are looking for an organized and experienced Security Manager to oversee and run the Security function at our organization. The Security Manager must demonstrate good leadership and business development skills. The main purpose of this position is to develop, oversee and manage the security function. Location: Pretoria East Closing date 05 May 2023 Requirements Firearm license and good knowledge of firearm rules and regulations Valid driver’s license Psira certificate Matric with Security Management Diploma/Bachelor’s degree 5+ years’ experience in the management level Be able to work flexible hours Proven experience in a senior position in security management Clear criminal record VIP protection experience Responsibilities and Skills Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify potential threats Oversee all security operations Develop emergency response plans Contribute to the organization’s strategic plan Develop and implement security policies and strategies Create reports for management on the security status Relationship-building skills and customer care Must be well-presentable and have strong negotiation skills Possess strong organizational and leadership skills Excellent tactical and emergency response handling skills Investigating security incidents and preparing reports detailing findings Recruit, train and supervise security personnel Develop and monitor security systems Ability to identify and approach potential clients to solicit new business Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events To be successful in this role, the candidate should have strong communication, leadership, and business development skills.
